Thanks to everyone who turned up today. There were three people who went home before lunch, 2 were not feeling well, and one person was a companion to someone who was not feeling well. I hope the rest of you enjoyed our trip to Carlops. Nicely timed so that we got to Fairmilehead just before 4 o’clock, just as it started raining.

A busy month studying for my MSc in IT.

It was a very breezy day, it took about 2 ¾ hours to get to Carlops, and 1 ½  hours to get back!!!! So Eddleston might have been too far, especially as it took a long time to get to Greenbank. We took the normal route out to Roslin, then we went down through Roslin Glen, back up the other side to join the cycle path at Roslynne Station. Then the cycle path to the south end of Penicuik, with some excellent, almost Canadian views., then across the Moor road.

We reached Carlops at about 12:50.

We took the short route home, through Penicuik and Milton Bridge. Most people quite happily managing 40km/h (25mph) along the Auchenforth Moss moor road.
